ART BY SAYE
Sayeh Gauvin is an artist and designer who expresses her vision through multiple techniques and materials, including jewelry making, photography, painting, and paper-cutting. Her work emphasizes depth, contrast, and architectural precision.
Inspired by her travels, encounters, and diverse cultural universes, Sayeh has always been fascinated by the interplay of light and shadow. She employs various techniques to accentuate depth and contrast, developing a unique artistic style that spans both figurative and abstract works. Each of her paper-cut pieces is crafted from a single sheet of paper.
Since childhood, she has been captivated by traditional arts such as Ayeneh Kari (mirror-cutting) and Kashikari (mosaic art), crafts that trace their origins to Mesopotamian civilization and remain integral to Islamic architecture.
Sayeh Gauvin has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, from France and Istanbul to Kuwait .
